United Overseas Bank Sees Possible USD/CHF Test of 0.8110 if Resistance Holds

FXStreet said the analysts expected intraday consolidation between 0.8125 and 0.8185; a move above 0.8205 would invalidate the 0.8110 scenario.

United Overseas Bank analysts see a possible USD/CHF test of 0.8110 within one to three weeks if resistance at 0.8205 holds, FXStreet reported Nov. 5.

FXStreet said the analysts expected intraday consolidation between 0.8125 and 0.8185. The report described the pair as dipping below 0.8140 during trading without recording a close under that level.

The analysts viewed the recovery as making another immediate dollar decline less likely, FXStreet reported. A rise above 0.8205 would invalidate the 0.8110 scenario, according to the outlet.

USD/CHF measures Swiss francs per U.S. dollar, so a lower reading means the dollar buys fewer francs. The report tied the outlook to price levels and did not cite a specific economic release or policy decision behind it.

The call follows an earlier United Overseas Bank outlook that identified 0.8200 as a possible level, covered in EconoTimes’ previous report on the dollar-franc rate.
