Upbit, South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume and user base, has announced plans to delist Zilliqa (ZIL) and Sophon (SOPH) in November 2026. The decision comes as the exchange continues reviewing digital assets for security risks and compliance with its trading support policies.
According to Upbit’s announcement, trading support for Zilliqa will officially end on November 16, 2026, at 15:00 KST. The delisting will affect the ZIL/KRW and ZIL/BTC trading pairs, giving investors several weeks to adjust their positions before trading services are discontinued.
The decision follows a security incident involving the Zilliqa Ledger application in July. Upbit initially placed ZIL on its trading caution list on July 22, 2026, citing concerns related to the incident.
Following another comprehensive review, the exchange concluded that the issues responsible for Zilliqa’s caution designation remained unresolved. Consequently, Upbit decided to terminate trading support under its established digital asset listing policies.
Sophon will also lose trading support on November 16 at 15:00 KST. The affected markets include SOPH/KRW, SOPH/BTC, and SOPH/USDT.
Meanwhile, Upbit has designated Hive Dollar (HBD/BTC) and District0x (DNT/BTC) as trading caution assets. Deposits for both cryptocurrencies have been temporarily suspended, while further evaluations could result in additional delistings.
The exchange has also extended the trading caution period for MANTRA across its KRW, BTC, and USDT pairs. The review period now runs through the second week of November, from November 9 to November 13, 2026.
Despite these upcoming cryptocurrency delistings, XRP continues to lead trading activity on Upbit.
CoinMarketCap data shows that XRP/KRW generated approximately $87.12 million in 24-hour trading volume, outperforming Bitcoin at $74.69 million and Ethereum at $56.33 million.
XRP has maintained strong interest among South Korean cryptocurrency traders, reinforcing its position as one of the country's most actively traded digital assets.
At the time of reporting, XRP was trading around $1.33, gaining 2.76% over the previous 24 hours. However, its price remained between the 50-day and 200-day moving averages, suggesting continued market uncertainty.
As Upbit prepares for its November delistings, investors are closely monitoring affected tokens and XRP trading activity across South Korea’s cryptocurrency market.
