VINCI said Tuesday its Cobra IS unit won a €165 million cooling contract for a data center campus on the Iberian Peninsula, expanding the construction group's digital infrastructure business.

The contract calls for Cobra IS to supply and install mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment for 126 air-cooling systems. VINCI said the systems can cool the equivalent of 200 megawatts of computing capacity. The company described the equipment as critical to the campus's reliable operation.

The award covers one part of the campus project. Cobra IS is also bidding on later construction phases that VINCI valued at several billion euros in total. Those prospective phases are separate from the €165 million contract already awarded.

VINCI reported €7 billion in digital infrastructure revenue in 2025. The company linked growth in that market to artificial intelligence and said it aims to play a larger role in major digital infrastructure projects, particularly in Europe and some Asian countries.
