Ripple said Virtu is trading swaps on Ripple Prime that reference perpetual contracts listed on Hyperliquid, giving clients access to more than 100 traditional-asset markets with trading and settlement available every day.
The reference for each swap is a Trade.xyz-listed perpetual future on Hyperliquid. The markets span foreign exchange, energy, metals, equities, equity indexes and exchange-traded funds.
Ripple Prime offers clients a way to cross-margin swap exposures together with the platform’s other supported asset classes. In jurisdictions where it is available, Ripple USD (RLUSD) can also serve as collateral.
Ripple traces its Hyperliquid support to Feb. 4, 2026, when institutional clients gained a route to onchain derivatives liquidity and the ability to cross-margin positions across the asset classes Ripple Prime supports. EconoTimes previously covered Ripple Prime’s rollout across traditional markets.
The service currently operates under Ripple Prime’s CIV BVI license. Ripple says it wants to make the service available in more regions, with timing still unannounced.
