Tampa, FL, Oct. 06, 2017 -- Cancer informatics and digital pathology workflow solution provider Inspirata®, Inc. announced today that it will be exhibiting in Booth #802 at the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Annual Meeting at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, MD, October 8 – 11.

Attendees at CAP’s annual meeting can visit Booth #802 to learn more about Inspirata’s end-to-end digital pathology workflow solution and its fully immersive Digital Pathology Cockpit where pathologists can comprehensively review and diagnose patient cases, write diagnostic reports and submit those reports to the LIS.
“The focus of our cockpit roadmap is to continue to add novel features and develop integrations with third-party tools and technologies that enable pathologists to spend more of their time diagnosing disease rather than searching for and retrieving information from different sources and systems,” says Inspirata Executive Vice President and Founder, Mark Lloyd, PhD, MSM. “We’re very excited to have CAP as the forum to demonstrate two recent integrations to our cockpit, including a bi-directional integration with a SCC Soft Computer Lab Information System and an integration with Elsevier’s comprehensive anatomic and clinical pathology diagnostic decision support tools. These new integrations will give pathologists the information they need to formulate their diagnoses much faster because it will be a simple keystroke away in our cockpit.”
Inspirata also will be announcing at CAP that it has expanded the portfolio of scanning devices it can deliver to its clients as part of its end-to-end digital pathology workflow solution. This includes the addition of best-of-breed scanners for a diverse set of clinical applications ranging from large scanners for high-volume scanning centers to more specialized small-footprint instruments that provide specialized uses including oil immersion, live microscopy and fluorescence.
Inspirata’s end-to-end digital pathology workflow solution employs a unique, “Solution-as-a-Service” business model designed to help cancer institutions overcome the financial barrier to adoption by making the upfront capital investment in the digital pathology instrumentation, hardware, software and storage. Inspirata also does the workflow requirements analysis and complete project planning and program management. Integration services, operational staffing and management, and technical support are included along with scan lab staffing to do retrospective and prospective histopathology slide scanning, as well as diagnostic cockpits for each of the cancer center’s pathologists.
