"WWE 2K19" will not be on the Nintendo Switch this year. 2K Sports may have made the decision after "WWE 2K18" was heavily criticized by gamers.
Before "WWE 2K19" was developed, 2K Sports introduced the previous wrestling title to the Switch in 2018; however, it did not receive a good response due to a number of issues experienced by players. It seems that the problems were not resolved, so the game publisher just decided to skip it altogether.
Gamers also created a message board to share their bad experiences while playing the game. On Gamefaq’s forum, people listed issues such as game freezes, gameplay glitches, framerate problems and many more.
Moreover, although the "WWE 2K18" was the first installment to come out on the Nintendo’s Switch, it was attacked. Even publications shared their views on the game like the IGN. As per its review, the news outlet gave it a score of 3.8. It explained that the low score was due to “awful performance problems and bugs make it all but unplayable."
Now, with the low ratings and all, 2K Sports chose not to bring "WWE 2K19" to the Nintendo console, and the company released a statement to confirm this.
"WWE 2K19 will not be available on Nintendo Switch,” Game Revolution quoted 2K Sport’s representative as saying. “2K is focused on making the best possible experience for WWE 2K fans and will continue evaluating all opportunities to deliver the franchise across additional platforms.”
Fans should not be disappointed as "WWE 2K19" is still coming to other consoles, including the PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The wrestling game is slated to be released on Oct. 8.
"WWE 2K19" will also be available in Deluxe and Collector's Editions and these will be launched ahead of the official release date, on Oct. 5. As a pre-order bonus, buyers can also expect to get Ronda Rousey for free.
