Warbud, VINCI Construction’s Polish subsidiary, has won Warsaw’s €149 million contract for the next stage of a planned Sinfonia Varsovia complex, which is set to add Poland’s largest concert hall, VINCI said Wednesday.
The planned auditorium will hold 1,877 people. VINCI said the complex will also have spaces for music production and broadcasting, forming part of a new home for the Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra.
The contract includes two historic properties spanning 2,185 square meters in total. They are to be renovated and connected to the main structure, according to VINCI. Plans also include a public garden and a suspended walkway measuring 400 meters.
The award is for the project’s second phase. VINCI valued the construction work at €149 million and expects it to be completed in 2030.
Warbud has delivered other cultural projects in Poland, VINCI said. Its work includes the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic in Białystok, as well as the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra headquarters in Katowice and the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin.
VINCI said it operates in Poland through its construction, energy and real estate businesses and employs more than 4,000 people in the country. The group reported nearly €1 billion in Polish revenue in 2025. VINCI describes its global business as spanning concessions, energy solutions and construction, with 294,000 employees across more than 120 countries.
