Warsaw-Modlin Airport closed Tuesday after a plane from London Heathrow made an unscheduled landing following a report of a possible explosive device on board, the airport said, halting operations near Poland’s capital.

The airport, roughly 25 miles from central Warsaw, said it would remain closed until further notice. The Independent reported that the aircraft landed safely and that security services were checking the reported threat.
