Western Union said its third-quarter revenue declined 2% and net income fell 44%.

Revenue totaled $1.01 billion, while net income was $78 million. The company included the results in earnings materials attached to a Form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Adjusted revenue decreased 1%. Diluted earnings per share under generally accepted accounting principles was $0.25, compared with $0.43 a year earlier. Adjusted earnings per share was $0.42, down from $0.47.

Branded Digital revenue rose 8% and transactions rose 21%, while growth in Consumer Services partly cushioned pressure from weaker North American retail activity. Adjusted Consumer Services revenue grew 5%, although the segment’s revenue under generally accepted accounting principles fell 2%.

The company’s 2026 revenue outlook depends in part on its planned acquisition of Intermex. If the deal closes Tuesday, Nov. 10, Western Union expects revenue to grow 0% to 1%. If it does not close during fiscal year 2026, the company expects revenue to decline 1% to 2%.

Western Union forecast adjusted earnings per share of $1.28 to $1.38 under either acquisition scenario.
