Eligible holders of YieldMax’s GME Option Income Strategy ETF (GMEY) are due $0.2850 per share Friday, Nov. 6, after YieldMax raised its weekly distribution by 2.78%.
That follows the $0.2773 weekly payment YieldMax announced Oct. 28. Thursday, Nov. 5, is the ex-dividend and record date, setting which shareholders qualify for the payout.
GMEY’s distribution rate stood at 65.13% at the Nov. 3 close. It annualizes the latest payout against net asset value (NAV), so it does not represent total return. For the period through Oct. 31, GMEY’s 30-day SEC yield came to 2.31%; option income is outside that calculation.
Investors access GameStop Corp. (GME) through options as GMEY pursues weekly income with call spreads. That structure may curb their share of gains, while leaving them exposed to losses if GME declines.
YieldMax says distributions can change and are not assured; they may also include a return of investors’ capital. Payment is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 6.
