CHICAGO, May 01, 2018 -- ArrowStream®, a foodservice supply chain technology innovator, today announced a partnership with Zaxby’s Franchising LLC (“ZFL”), franchisor of the Georgia-based restaurant brand Zaxby’s®, known for prepared-at-order Chicken Fingerz™, Traditional or Boneless Wings, sandwiches, Zalads® and Zappetizers®, and a variety of sauces. Zaxby’s has licensed ArrowStream’s market-leading OnDemand software to optimize food spend, proactively manage inventory, and ensure product & pricing compliance.

Like many restaurant chains, ZFL’s purchasing & distribution teams relied on time-consuming, manual spreadsheets to track and manage their supply chain and control costs. The ZFL team recognized there was a “better way” to untap operational and financial opportunities, and found it in ArrowStream’s OnDemand’s industry-leading guided analytics and proactive supply chain monitoring.
“We came to the point where we knew we needed to leverage a proven, foodservice-specific technology solution in order to maximize benefits for our franchisees,” said Randy Keene, Vice President of Supply Chain at ZFL. “OnDemand’s guided analytics will be the key building-block for our teams in making better and more strategic decisions based on fast and accurate information. Now we can zero-in-on significant supply chain opportunities instead of managing data.”
OnDemand empowers restaurant chains to quickly identify price variance savings opportunities, and proactively address the most pressing threats in their supply chains by centralizing inventory, contract, category spend, and quality assurance information. OnDemand’s streamlined interface eliminates the need for traditional data mining by bringing specific challenges to the forefront and by cleansing, merging and mapping restaurant data that enables immediate action to be taken.
Zaxby’s® is the latest restaurant brand to partner with ArrowStream, joining a portfolio of customers that has recently added Dairy Queen, Ted’s Montana Grill, Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub, Slim Chicken’s, and Smashburger, among others.
“We are excited to see Zaxby’s recognize the value of deploying OnDemand’s actionable foodservice solutions,” said Jeff Dorr, Chief Customer Officer, ArrowStream. “This is an innovative restaurant brand that understands how information is the lynch-pin to grow both the top and bottom lines profitably. Having clean, normalized data in a guided exception-based solution is not a nice-to-have anymore -- it is a must-have. We look forward to an engaging partnership and will diligently and creatively work to support Zaxby’s with foodservice innovations that meet their short and long-term business goals.”
About Zaxby’s
Enjoying great chicken in an atmosphere where you could be yourself? That’s what childhood friends Zach McLeroy and Tony Townley wanted to achieve when they founded Zaxby’s back in the 1990s. Many years and locations later, Zaxby’s is still delivering on that promise: to serve delicious chicken fingers, wings, sandwiches and salads in a fun, offbeat atmosphere where we welcome customers as friends.
