Crypto infrastructure provider Zerohash has launched AUTH, a new service designed to simplify cryptocurrency transfers by allowing users to move digital assets between connected wallets and exchange accounts without manually entering wallet addresses or selecting blockchain networks.

The company unveiled AUTH at the Money20/20 conference in Las Vegas, positioning the platform as a solution to one of the biggest barriers to mainstream cryptocurrency adoption: complicated transaction processes.

AUTH enables users to connect crypto exchanges and self-custody wallets directly through supported applications, streamlining transfers involving cryptocurrencies, stablecoins and tokenized securities.

According to Zerohash, the service offers more than 600 connections, including popular platforms such as Coinbase, Robinhood, Gemini, MetaMask and Phantom. Developer documentation identifies support for 639 wallets and four exchange or brokerage accounts, with Kraken integration currently in beta.

Ryan Beaudry, formerly Mastercard's executive vice president of global product and operations for open finance, will lead AUTH as general manager.

Beaudry emphasized that blockchain technology can achieve widespread adoption when consumers no longer need to understand the technical infrastructure behind transactions. He highlighted usability, security and user control as essential factors driving broader adoption.

The platform simplifies crypto transfers into three steps. Users select a connected wallet or exchange account, authenticate their identity and approve the transaction. AUTH then manages transaction routing and settlement automatically.

Participating applications retain control over supported digital assets, account connections and permitted transaction types.

The launch also comes amid Zerohash's efforts to strengthen its regulatory position in the United States.

In July, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency returned the company's national trust bank charter application, citing deficiencies in the filing. Zerohash subsequently submitted a narrower application on August 18, which remains pending.

Founded in 2017, Chicago-based Zerohash provides cryptocurrency infrastructure through APIs, offering custody, compliance, liquidity management, blockchain connectivity and settlement services.

The company operates regulated entities across 51 US jurisdictions and maintains an international presence spanning Europe, Latin America and Bermuda.

Zerohash previously held acquisition discussions with Mastercard, although negotiations ended earlier this year. Reports subsequently indicated that the company was exploring a $250 million funding round at a $1.5 billion valuation.

With AUTH, Zerohash aims to make crypto wallet transfers and digital asset payments more accessible while expanding its role as an infrastructure provider for financial institutions, including Morgan Stanley's E*Trade.
