Reader in Diabetes and Mitochondrial Research, King's College London

Reader in Diabetes and Mitochondrial Research, King's College London I am a molecular biologist with a very keen interest in all things mitochondria. I run a lab in the diabetes dept at King's College London. Our research is focused on the molecular pathways by which oxidative stress induced changes can contribute to diabetic complications and neurodegeneration with a particular interest in the role of mitochondrial dysfunction in this process. Additionally, we are developing methods to measure mitochondrial health and dysfunction in experimental models and humans, and methods to protect mitochondrial health.
