I have published scholarly editions of Bram Stoker's theatre reviews and theatrical writings (2012) and I have edited and co-edited collections on mesmerism in Victorian culture (2006), afterlives of Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes (2012), Bram Stoker (2016). I have also published journal articles and book chapters on Victorian and post-Victorian literature and visual culture. I am currently editing The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes for OUP and a joint edition of The Hound of the Baskervilles and The Valley of Fear for EUP.
Claire Wendland is a professor in the Departments of Anthropology and Obstetrics & Gynecology at University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is the author of A Heart for the Work: Journeys through an African Medical School, the first ethnography of a medical school in the global South, and Partial Stories: Maternal Death from Six Angles. Trained as a cultural anthropologist and obstetrician-gynecologist, she researches medicine, metrics, and women's health in cross-cultural perspective.
Christopher Damman, M.D., is a board certified gastroenterologist at the Digestive Health Center at UW Medical Center and a UW associate professor of Gastroenterology and Medicine. Dr. Damman feels that healing is as much listening compassionately and creating an environment of trust and understanding as it is gathering the facts and treating the illness. He has a particular interest in the microbiome & functional foods, and he explores these themes as Editor-In-Chief at Gut Bites MD (Link https://gutbites.org/). Dr. Damman earned his M.D. from Columbia. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. His research interests involve understanding the role of endogenous gastrointestinal organisms (the microbiota) in health and disease.
Dr. Carmen Reese Foster is the Interim Online MSSW Program Director, an Assistant Professor of Practice, and the Director of Alumni Affairs at the University of Tennessee College of Social Work. She is also the Executive Director of the Coalition of Black Social Workers. Dr. Reese Foster is a 2022 DSW graduate of the University of Alabama, where she was the 3MT (Three Minute Thesis) Winner for the University and the Southern Region. While at Alabama, Carmen was the recipient of the Laura Langley Social Justice Award and the DSW Scholarship Award. Simultaneously, as a faculty of practice at the University of Tennessee, Carmen was the 2022 recipient of the Inspirational Teaching Award. Her research focus is race-based trauma and its impact on mental health.
My research focuses on post-disturbance recovery. Focusing on challenges facing disturbed lands, my research is both basic in understanding species and ecosystem responses to disturbances, and applied for improving future ecosystem management. We use multiple techniques including observational field surveys, geospatial analyses, and experimental approaches.
A certified Speech and Language Pathologist in Canada and the United States, Catherine is a specialist in North American English phonology. She leads the Accent Clinic at Dalhousie University, serving members of the public who have difficulty being understood because of their accent, and also training Speech and Language Pathology graduate clinical students. Since 2018, she has been an adjunct professor teaching Dalhousie's CMSD 5020, Clinical Phonetics, where Speech and Language Pathology and Audiology students learn to describe, transcribe, and apply the science of speech sounds to their clinical practice. Catherine is an advocate for Canadian Basic Income, and serves as the Secretary of BIGNS - Basic Income Guarantee Nova Scotia, an affiliate of Coalition Canada.
