Assistant Professor of Social Work, University of Manitoba Dr. Larios is an interdisciplinary critical policy researcher. She studies citizenship and immigration in the Canadian context, in particular, as it intersects with family and reproductive politics and policies. Her most recent work focuses on the politics of pregnancy and childbirth and precarious migration as an issue of reproductive justice.

Research entomologist, Department of Conservation Ecology and Entomology, Stellenbosch University I am a research entomologist, and my research focus is on the biological control of economically important insect pests in agroecosystems using entomopathogenic fungi and nematodes. I have three degrees from Stellenbosch University: BSc in conservation ecology (2016), MSc in entomology (2019) and PhD in entomology (2021). I also did postdoctoral studies in agriculture (entomology) at Stellenbosch University in 2022.

Lesley Sharpe

Lecturer in Sport Sociology , University of Lincoln Dr Lesley Sharpe is a lecturer in Sport Sociology in the School of Psychology Sport Science and Wellbeing at the University of Lincoln (UK). Lesley completed her undergraduate studies in Special and Inclusive Education and Sport Education at Nottingham Trent University in 2017. Then in 2021 was awarded her PhD in Inclusive Physical Education and School Sport from Loughborough University. Lesley's research is focussed on the experiences of disabled and other marginalised young people in PE and school sport and utilises qualitative participatory and creative research to engage young people in the research process. Lesley is also a self taught illustrator and has hybrid research and illustration projects for the Youth Sport Trust, Street Games, Acess Sport, FIBA, All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, The Peter Harisson Centre at Loughborough University and Leeds Beckett University.

Programme Director MSc Project Management and Lecturer in Business, Keele Business School, Keele University I am a Lecturer in Business and Management at Keele Business School. I deliver on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules on our business degrees and MBA and Executive programmes as well as other postgraduate apprenticeship courses within the University. Prior to joining the Keele, I was a Senior Lecturer in Business Technology in the Department of Operations, Technology, Events and Hospitality Management at the Manchester Metropolitan University Business School where I led an international MSc in Project Management accredited by the Association for Project Management. I also held the position of Director of Short Courses and Commercial Activities liaising with many SME’s and larger organisations in the UK and internationally including the top 4 consultancy companies worldwide. Since the early 90’s I have led numerous workshops, courses and programmes to include information systems, project management, business strategy, e-marketing and management, climate change and sustainability, business process re-engineering and so on. I have a particular interest in emerging technologies in the re-design of business processes, systems theories and methodologies, people and organisations, motivation theory and teams, leadership, managing change, knowledge management and applied learning techniques, including blended learning. I was a project manager in the pharmaceutical sector for a period of secondment, managing a major migration project across borders and significantly improving the processes within the Department and enhancing the skills and knowledge of the workforce through 70+ training courses. Between 2006-2008 I was a guest presenter on a live weekly television broadcast reviewing emerging technologies and innovation themes. I have advised several organisations on their business strategies and adoption of information systems and technology. I have been a contributing member of the British Computer Society and am an affiliate member of the Chartered Management Institute.

Lavinia Iancu

Assistant Professor of Forensic Science, Director of the Forensic Science Program, University of North Dakota Dr. Iancu received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (Faculty of Biology, Bucharest University), followed by two master’s degree programs (European Master of Forensic Sciences and Medical Biology Master). She earned the PhD title in biology (forensic entomology and microbiology expertise) within the Romanian Academy, Institute of Biology Bucharest. In her research, Dr. Iancu is committed to advancing the study of forensic entomology and microbiology, aiming to identify novel biomarkers for the estimation of the postmortem interval (PMI). The research focuses on investigating the necrophagous insects and bacteria diversity and dynamics associated with decomposed tissue, in correlation with the climatic parameters, aiming to provide new data useful for forensic investigations worldwide by emphasizing novel PMI estimators. Her concept of education consists greatly in teaching with passion, in respecting each student and inspiring them through the way of being and existing; treating each student individually, being able to observe their motivation and passions. Her beliefs are that a professor needs to support the students, find what really motivates them, and in the forefront of forensic sciences, a goal unites them all, the fight for justice and finding out the truth; and in this sense, knowing that each student has their own motivation they can work in a team, where each one can bring their contribution. Dr. Iancu’s experience and contributions to the field have been recognized by the numerous peer-reviewed articles in the field, by the Henry C Lee scholarship Award, the AAFS Outstanding Early Career Achievement in Forensic Science Award received from the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, The Fulbright Senior Award for initiative and leadership in advancing forensic entomology research, the Romanian Academy “Grigore Antipa” Award, granted for the pioneering work in the field of forensic entomology and microbiology, and the Itterman Faculty Professional Development Award granted by the College of Arts & Sciences in recognition of exemplary teaching while maintaining excellence in research and service.
