PhD in English literature, University of Nottingham I studied English at Cambridge, before returning to my home town of Nottingham and doing a Creative Writing Masters. I have now moved onto a English literature PhD and am in my final year. My thesis is multi-disciplinary, engaging with the rise of pedestrian culture in the long nineteenth-century, and the implications that had for literature. Whilst studying part time I edit and advise on independent articles for a number of popular publications and broad scope of areas. I have continued my creative writing, publishing my most recent prize-winning book of poems ('Pegging Out') in 2021 with Indigo Dreams.
Research Fellow in bio art & plant behaviour, University of Southampton Laura Cinti is a research based artist working with biology. Her current practice utilises drone technology and artificial intelligence to explore their impacts in environmental conservation and biodiversity. Laura has a PhD from UCL's Slade School of Fine Art, MA in Interactive Media: Critical Theory & Practice from Goldsmiths College, University of London and BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the University of Hertfordshire. Her artworks have been exhibited and presented worldwide.
Assistant Research Scientist in Climate and Space Sciences and Engineering, University of Michigan Dr. Lulu Zhao is an assistant research scientist in the Climate and Space Sciences and Engineering. Her research focus is the modelling of the acceleration and transport of energetic particles using M-FLAMPA (multiple-field-line-advection-model with particle acceleration). The M-FLAMPA model extract magnetic field lines from the magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) simulations of the background solar wind solution through SWMF (space weather frame work). Along those magnetic field lines, the particle transport and acceleration are modelled by solving the particle transport equations.
Prinicipal Research Fellow & Neurology and Mental Health Theme Leader UQCCR, The University of Queensland Associate Professor Lata Vadlamudi is a Senior Staff Specialist in Neurology at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital; Epileptologist within the Comprehensive Epilepsy Program; Metro North Clinician Research Fellow; and Neurosciences Theme Leader at the University of Queensland Centre for Clinical Research (UQCCR). She obtained her medical degree from the University of QLD and completed physician training in the field of Neurology. Further specialized training in epilepsy was undertaken in Melbourne, Sydney and the Mayo Clinic, USA. PhD was obtained from the University of Melbourne, which was entitled “The Genetics of Epilepsy: The Testimony of Twins”.
