Emeritus Professor of Physics, Lund University After a post-doc year at Columbia University, New York and initial work on atomic laser spectroscopy, I worked on laser-based spectroscopy at Chalmers up till 1980, when I became professor and head of the Atomic Physics Division at Lund Institute of Technology (technical faculty at Lund University) up till 2008. In Lund I carried out a programme of laser spectroscopy, including basic atomic physics and applications to energy, environmental and medical research. Basic studies included studies of radiative properties of atoms and ions as well as superintense laser/matter interactions (high harmonics generation, X-ray laser pumping and broadband X-ray generation). Applications include laser radar sounding of pollutants in the atmosphere and hydrosphere, laser diagnostics of combustion processes, and laser-based detection and treatment of cancer and cardio-vascular disease. I also proposed and helped establish a High Power Laser Facility, including a multi-terawatt 10 Hz laser. In 1995, I was appointed director of the newly established Lund Laser Centre, which also gained the EC status of a European Large Scale Facility. I remained its director till 2010, and continued as Senior Professor at the centre. I am a member of the Royal Academy of Sciences (and during 10 years a member of its Nobel Committee for Physics; two years as chairman), and the Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences.
Senior research in geology, University of Turku My research interests are to study 1) climatic and anthropogenic forcing of lake sedimentation and catchment erosion, and 2) sedimentary processes of micro plastic litter in aquatic environments. My current focus is to understand climate-catchment dynamics as well as sediment transportation and accumulation in various geological environments in detail.
Chief Research Information Officer and Associate Vice President for Research Technology, Arizona State University Sean Dudley is the Chief Research Information Officer and Associate Vice President for Research Technology at Arizona State University. He is also entering his fourth year as a Ph.D. student in the School for the Future of Innovation in Society. For over a decade, he has been developing ASU's Research Technology Office, which provides specialized technology solutions and services that enable and protect ASU’s research community and sponsored projects. The office also organizes collaborative projects across the three state universities and supports the advancement of Arizona’s technological infrastructure. Dudley began his career in research information technology in 1998 at the University of Wisconsin. His passion for blending scientific research and technology later brought him to Tempe, where he initially worked at the ASU Biodesign Institute in the Center for Evolutionary Functional Genomics. Soon after, he advanced to a leadership role in the Knowledge Enterprise, allowing him to develop and provide many services to ASU's entire research community. Dudley holds degrees in biology, computer science, and philosophy from the University of Wisconsin. He earned a Six Sigma Black Belt from ASU’s Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering.

Girringun Aboriginal Corporation Communications Officer and Founder of Dingo Culture, Indigenous Knowledge My name is Sonya Grant Takau a proud Jirrbal Rainforest Aboriginal woman from Tully, Queensland. My greatest mentor in life has been my father Dr Ernie Grant (Jirrbal Elder). I have worked mostly in the Tourism and Education industries and within these roles have met some amazing people nationally and internationally. I'm currently working for Girringun Aboriginal Corporation located in Cardwell, Queensland as Communications Officer. I love my role as I get to work with my Elders and Traditional Owners and assist with their aspirations for caring for their traditional lands and seas. Recently I created/founded Dingo Culture. Dingo Culture is a digital platform which is focused on collating cultural information from other Aboriginal groups and articles from across Australia and sharing their cultural perspective of the Dingo. I am currently working with some amazing people in campaigning for legislative changes here in Queensland and other states to give our Dingo the protection it needs as our Land Apex Predator and the role it plays in balancing our natural environments (invasive species). Please reach out to me for a chat, I welcome your views.
Chercheuse en écologie polaire, Sorbonne Université As a researcher in marine ecology at the Oceanography and Climate Laboratory (LOCEAN), I specialise in the study of Antarctic sea ice animals and the impact of global warming on their way of life.
