fal’s product page and launch announcement give different generation times for its FLUX 3 Max video model, complicating the company’s speed comparison with rival Seedance 2.5.
On fal’s product page, a 10-second FLUX 3 Max clip takes an average of 12.45 seconds to generate, against 277.80 seconds for Seedance 2.5. Those figures put the speed gap at about 22 times.
fal’s product-page table describes averages for 10-second videos in a 16:9 format at 720p or 768p. The speed figures come from fal’s own benchmarks.
The same table lists the original FLUX 3 at 126.44 seconds and MiniMax H3 at 83.26 seconds.
fal announced FLUX 3 Max on Oct. 19, developed in collaboration with Black Forest Labs. The model builds on Black Forest Labs’ FLUX 3, which fal says it trained further and optimized to run faster. The announcement cites 10.95 seconds for a 10-second FLUX 3 Max clip, below the 12.45 seconds shown on the product page.
An Oct. 20 snapshot of the Artificial Analysis image-to-video leaderboard gives MiniMax H3 1,140 Elo points, while FLUX 3 Max and Dreamina Seedance 2.5 each have 1,138. The three score ranges overlap, leaving the small differences in their point estimates inconclusive. fal’s Oct. 19 announcement used a preliminary score of 1,139 for FLUX 3 Max.
fal charges by the second of finished video and lists a promotional 720p rate of $0.0425 per second through Nov. 7. Its listed standard rate is $0.17 per second.
