Investors in BlackRock’s iShares MBS ETF (MBB) are due $0.347111 per share for November, below October’s $0.366185 payment, with the distribution scheduled for Nov. 5. October’s payment was made Oct. 6, and the November distribution was declared Oct. 30.
Nov. 2 marks the point for establishing eligible holders, and MBB’s shares go ex-dividend on that date. Purchases made on or after Nov. 2 do not qualify for this payment.
The full per-share amount is classified as income. It includes no allocation for capital gains, whether short- or long-term, or for return of capital.
MBB pays shareholders every month and seeks to follow an index covering U.S. agency mortgage-backed securities. Another iShares product, the iShares Ultra Short Duration Bond Active ETF (ICSH), also has a Nov. 5 payment; EconoTimes previously covered its $0.177785-per-share distribution.
