GREAT FALLS, Va., Oct. 31, 2016 -- The Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) is pleased to announce the launch of the ATSA Master Classes, a comprehensive and evidence-based online training curriculum, in collaboration with its exclusive online training partner, the Global Institute of Forensic Research (GIFR). Allowing agencies and facilities to train staff in-house without travel costs, hotel fees or lost office time, this innovative curriculum is the first of its kind.
The ATSA Master Classes consist of 17 premiere online trainings eligible for over 100 hours of Continuing Education Credit from over 150 accreditation boards. Designed to help professionals involved in the assessment, treatment, and monitoring of adolescents and adults who have offended sexually achieve a high level of professional excellence, these comprehensive courses are delivered by leading experts and can assist professionals in becoming certified sexual offender service providers in states with such certifications. Use of the ATSA Master Class curriculum facilitates the implementation of evidence-based best practices to enhance community safety, reduce sexual recidivism, protect victims and vulnerable populations, transform the lives of those caught in the web of sexual violence, and illuminate paths to prevent sexual abuse.
