Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) shares climbed around 2% শুক্রবার morning after Meta revealed a major expansion of its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), signaling strong momentum in the growing artificial intelligence infrastructure market. The collaboration centers on deploying tens of millions of AWS Graviton cores to power next-generation agentic AI workloads.
Meta confirmed it will become one of the largest global users of AWS Graviton processors, with initial deployment already planned at massive scale. This move highlights Meta’s strategy to diversify its computing infrastructure as demand accelerates for advanced AI systems capable of reasoning, planning, and executing complex tasks autonomously.
AWS Graviton5 processors are specifically engineered to deliver faster data processing speeds and higher bandwidth efficiency. These features are essential for large-scale AI workloads that require continuous reasoning and real-time decision-making. Meta emphasized that such performance improvements are critical to supporting its expanding AI ecosystem.
Amazon executives see the partnership as more than just a hardware deployment. Nafea Bshara, AWS Vice President and Distinguished Engineer, noted that combining custom silicon like Graviton with AWS’s full AI stack—including data processing and inference services—creates a scalable foundation for intelligent systems serving billions of users globally.
Meta’s Head of Infrastructure, Santosh Janardhan, reinforced that AWS remains a key cloud partner. He explained that integrating Graviton processors allows Meta to efficiently handle CPU-intensive AI operations while maintaining performance at scale. The agreement also includes flexibility for future expansion as Meta’s AI capabilities continue to evolve.
This partnership underscores AWS’s growing leadership in custom AI chips and cloud computing infrastructure. As major tech companies increasingly invest in specialized hardware for artificial intelligence, demand for solutions like AWS Graviton is expected to surge, strengthening Amazon’s position in the competitive AI and cloud services market.
