BOONE, N.C., Feb. 16, 2016 -- In a statement issued to shareholders today, Sean Spiegelman, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Appalachian Mountain Brewery, Inc. (the “Company”) (OTC:HOPS) commented on the Company’s ongoing growth and strategic plans for fiscal year 2016.
“We realized a significant increase in revenues over the past ten months, which we attribute to our master distribution agreement with Craft Brew Alliance and subsequent expansion into retail locations across North Carolina,” said Spiegelman. “In addition to the expansion, we also earned numerous accolades for our distinctive beers and ciders, including gold and silver awards from the US Open Beer Championships and Great International Beer & Cider Competition. This year the brewery and tasting room received recognition by Yahoo Travel’s Top 50 list of Craft Breweries for being the top craft beer destinations in the state, as well as our “FarmToFlame” food truck for being named the “Best Pizza in the Blue Ridge” by Blue Ridge Outdoor Magazine, serving as further validation that our commitment to playing an active role in strengthening our local community is alive and well.”
The Company remains focused on building long-term shareholder growth in 2016 through ongoing distribution expansion and strategic manufacturing refinements, including specifically:
- Craft Brew Alliance – Company strategic partner and master distributor committed to investing deeply in AMB’s home state of North Carolina, including a dedicated state-wide AMB sales and marketing team.
- Manufacturing – A new state-of-the-art facility is now operational in Boone, NC where the company will produce and package Hard Ciders and Barrel Aged Beers as well ensure the highest quality products thru its onsite QA and QC lab. The production capacity will drive regional distribution expansion of AMB kegs and cans.
- “FarmToFlame” – Appalachian Inspired “Wood Fired” Gastro pub model bringing an authentic farm-to-table experience to additional geographic locations in our home markets and beyond. By creating new touch point locations for consumers beyond our home market, the principle goals of supporting local agriculture throughout the “Old North State” and bringing Community, Sustainability and Philanthropy can be realized.
In conjunction with our growth objectives, the Company will remain dedicated to its focus on community, sustainability and philanthropy, most recently recognized in December when the national trade association of the U.S. solar energy industry, SEIA Solar Energy Industries Association, bestowed its Solar Energy Award upon the Company.
“On behalf of the Company, I want to thank all of our shareholders for their interest in Appalachian Mountain Brewery, Inc. and their continued support of our endeavors. We believe the significant progress achieved in the last year is an indication of enormous potential for the company in 2016 and we look forward to sharing developments near-term,” said Spiegelman.
