Ben Affleck and Shauna Sexton reportedly called it quits recently. Now, her mom has some strong opinions about her daughter’s now rumored ex.
Radar Online reported on Tuesday about its recent interview with Suzette Sexton, Shauna’s mother, where Affleck was the obvious choice of topic. It turned out that Suzette is not a fan of the age difference between Shauna and Affleck.
Shauna’s mom had some unflattering comments on the “Justice League” actor. Aside from his more advanced age compared to the 22-year-old model, Suzette also had opinions on Affleck’s latest rehab stint.
“He’s my age! Would you be ok with your daughter dating a man with 3 kids, 3rd time in rehab, and unstable as F,” Shauna Sexton’s mom reportedly said about Ben Affleck.
However, Suzette added that Shauna and Affleck are still welcome to visit the model’s family in Virginia. “We are a good family. We might not always agree with each other’s decisions but we stand by our choices and if it means to love another despite our faults then we do so,” Shauna’s mom added.
In the same Radar Online interview, Suzette purportedly confirmed that Shauna and Affleck are still together. However, previous reports claimed they have broken up recently.
Entertainment Tonight's insider claimed that Ben Affleck and Shauna Sexton’s relationship was “casual and not serious.” Another source, whom PEOPLE described as Affleck’s friend, said, “There was nothing to split from as it has been casual.”
During the actor’s time in rehab, Shauna was photographed visiting his facility several times, indicating that they maintained communication despite his current in-facility program at the time. There were also reports that Affleck regularly met with his rumored girlfriend every time he went outside the facility while completing his rehab program, which started in August.
It can be recalled that Ben Affleck and Shauna Sexton were first spotted together after a dinner date for his birthday in August. Shortly after that, the actor was photographed receiving a box of booze at his home’s gate, which reportedly prompted Jennifer Garner to stage an intervention.
