The “Boruto” Chapter 42 release date will not arrive until later this month. However, fans have already been busy making speculations on what the manga installment could bring.
One fan speculated that the Jōgan ability could make its appearance in “Boruto” Chapter 42. Due to its ability to see chakra pathways, Boruto might use the ability to reveal Boro’s weak spots as a way to counter the Kara member’s regenerative abilities.
“So if you remember one of the Jōgan abilities it can clearly see the chakra pathway system and determine its most key point,” Reddit user goodwyn96 wrote on the platform. “And I say it will appear in chapter 42 because Boro has regeneration abilities and Boruto can use the Jōgan to find Boro weakest point so he can’t regenerate so I think it’s the perfect time for the manga to show the Jōgan.”
However, other fans do not think Boruto will employ Jōgan to deal with Team 7’s opponent next chapter. “No, they are going into full Karma lore in this arc, they are not going to include Jogan there with ZERO build up or hint, let alone when they are dealing with another power-up,” Reddit user foxfoxal countered.
A number of fans suggested that perhaps it would be Mitsuke who is better suited to handle Boro. “Mitsuki's Sage Mode would be more suitably placed in the next chapter,” Redditor undulose commented.
Another Reddit also agreed that it’s probably time for Mitsuki to showcase his skills as Boro is too low-level of an opponent to justify using the Jogan. “Boro just isn't important enough for Boruto to unlock the Jogan against. It should be saved for when Boruto meets Jigen,” 7D wrote. “That being said, this would be perfect time for Mitsuki to go Sage Mode since this will probably be his last fight until the time skip.”
Meanwhile, Omnitos has a lot of speculations on what might possibly happen in “Boruto” Chapter 42. For instance, the site wrote that more of Karma’s powers will be revealed next chapter. Unfortunately, it is likewise possible that Boro might have hidden other powers and abilities as well.
Another possibility that has been pointed out by a number of “Boruto” Chapter 42 spoilers is that Kawaki might opt to sacrifice himself so that the rest of the team might survive. Boruto might open a portal to save Team 7 but Kawaki might be left behind in the process.
