Briferendum Aftermath Series: Sturgeon might issue ultimatum this week

Scottish National Party (SNP) leader Nicola Sturgeon is likely to be issuing an ultimatum this week to the UK government.  The United Kingdom’s lower chamber of the parliament, known as the House of Commons will be voting on Mrs. May’s Brexit deal; after two defeats in the House of Lords. Members of the parliament voted in favor securing the right of the EU citizen leaving in the UK and voted giving power to the parliament in the approval for the final Brexit deal. Ms. Sturgeon’s SNP handed to the government its various demands from the Brexit negotiations, one of which includes an access to the European Union single market even if other parts of the UK are not granted the same. Ms. Sturgeon has accused the government of not including SNP’s agendas in its Brexit negotiations outline.

While speaking to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Ms. May is open to a 2018 spring timeline for the 2nd independence referendum as the main outlines of the deal would be visible by then. It is expected that she would issue an ultimatum this week that involves confirming the date for Scottish referendum if the demands of SNP are not taken into the account while negotiating.
