Treyarch and Activision have revealed more information, especially about content, on the “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” beta that will become available to PlayStation 4 players this week. Pre-loading the game will also go live a couple of days before the Early Access beta opens.
‘Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’ beta content information announced
As the developers promised, more content will be accessible during the beta period. There were three game modes made available during the “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” alpha testing. Now, Treyarch confirmed adding two more to the playlist.
The three game modes from the alpha are going to make a comeback in the “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” beta, including Team Deathmatch, the TDM variant Kill Confirmed, and Domination. The beta will also feature the VIP Escort mode where, as the name suggests, teams will have to protect a VIP and escort them safely to an extraction point.
One of the recently announced “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” gameplay features is called Combined Arms composed of a larger map to accommodate 12v12 plays. This is also announced as part of the beta tests starting this week.
‘Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’ open beta starts this week for PS4 players
“Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” will be available in open beta, but those who will pre-order digital editions of the game will have automatic access to the Early Access phase. That will add two days to the beta period.
PS4 players are getting the most number of days of beta access, all in all, especially those with Early Access. Fans who have pre-ordered “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” will not need a code to get Early Access. They can automatically start the pre-load, which Treyarch confirmed starts Tuesday, Oct. 6 (no specific time given) for PS4 players in preparation for the platform’s Early Access on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 10 a.m. PT through Oct. 9. All PS4 players can join the open beta from Oct. 10-12.
3 days until early access to the #BlackOpsColdWar Beta kicks off on PS4. Pre-load starts tomorrow.
