The Fantasy Royale is possibly one of the most sought-after game modes in “Clash Royale” even though it does not stay on the mobile game forever. The good news is Supercell has finally brought it back starting this week that is obviously to coincide the ongoing “Clash Royale” League (CRL) tournaments in several parts of the world.
‘Clash Royale’ gameplay update: Supercell brings back Fantasy Royale mode
This is the first week of the Fantasy Royale being back on “Clash Royale,” and it still has its basic features and gameplay mechanics. This game mode allows players to create their “Clash Royale” eSports dream team. However, the essence of this is not to send virtual teams on virtual competitions. It is merely to offer mobile gamers a good chance to earn Crowns.
Players can choose among the best, real-life “Clash Royale” League players and have them on a single team. Fantasy Royale also hosts CRL broadcasts where mobile gamers can follow the progress of their chosen players. Every time the chosen eSports player scores a Crown in the actual league, that will be credited to the Fantasy Royale participants.
In a way, the Fantasy Royale is practically like popular sports simulation video games like “NBA 2K” or “Madden NFL.” Fantasy participants can trade their chosen eSports players even after the CRL season has started because, again, the main goal is to acquire as many Crowns as possible. In the end, Fantasy Royale players that garnered the top 3 total of Crowns will earn 250 to 1,000 Gems.
‘Clash Royale’ eSports: CRL tournaments currently happening in China, other parts of Asia, and the West
The bad news is if a “Clash Royale” is just reading this Fantasy Royale update now, they no longer have a chance to participate. The tallying of Crowns earned in the Fantasy mode relies on the actual results of CRL matches.
Fantasy Royale participants can only form a team with eSports players from rosters fighting in the same region. So if a “Clash Royale” player is located in South Korea, they can only choose and trade CRL players from the CRL Asia tournament.
The elimination rounds of “Clash Royale” tournaments happening in South Korea for the Asian conference, in China, and the United States for the Western conference are slated to conclude by October and November. Winning teams will join a global competition likely slated in 2020.
