CHICAGO, Nov. 15, 2016 -- CloudCraze, an enterprise B2B commerce solution built natively on Salesforce, has launched the next generation of its platform in its fourth product release of the year, Winter '17. The release caps off a year of innovation transforming digital engagement for B2B companies’ sales and service relationships.
In the last year, CloudCraze enhanced its competitive edge in the B2B commerce marketplace by completing its micro-services, API-first architecture and marketplace offerings to include distributed order management. A CloudCraze marketplace allows a B2B business to extend their reach by delivering a customer-centric experience across multiple disparate divisions, channel partners, or vendors in a single merchandizing catalog with a streamlined checkout process. The new Winter '17 capabilities are built on CloudCraze’s recent platform investments to enhance key customer management and ordering functionality.
“B2B companies demand a robust, extensible commerce platform that helps them deliver on customers’ and partners’ needs, simplifies online self-service engagement, and complements existing sales and service channels,” said Andrew Witherspoon, EVP at CloudCraze. “The new functionality in Winter '17 is a direct result of our customers’ feedback. CloudCraze gives customers more control over orders, real-time access to information, streamlines complex ordering and multiple vendor fulfillment.”
The Winter '17 enhancements include the following capabilities:
- Line-Level Independence: This feature gives customers additional control over shipping and fulfillment rules. For each order, customers can group order lines and set independent shipping methods, adjust delivery receivers and request specific delivery dates to ensure shipments get delivered when, where, and to whom the customer wants.
- Order Orchestration: Customers gain real-time access to order status and the ability to automatically broker orders to the appropriate vendor or division directly into the correct system, such as an enterprise resource planning (ERP) or warehouse management software (WMS). This enables greater convenience, transparency and unifies customer order data across multiple vendor and ERP environments.
- Custom Product Ordering: B2B companies are often challenged with enabling self-service when facilitating custom or quoted product ordering. For organizations working to centralize the customer experience around a unified digital commerce and customer relationship management (CRM) system, CloudCraze enables them to combine custom product ordering into this digital channel. For example, custom product ordering allows an organization to seamlessly add a unique bill of materials (BOM) or quoted product from an external configurator to a standard CloudCraze order. This merges standard catalog and custom quoted items, improving visibility, the overall customer experience and most importantly, decreasing cost.
“As the only B2B commerce platform built natively on Salesforce, CloudCraze has carved a unique niche in the industry that is unmatched by any other solution provider,” said Eric Marotta, director of product marketing at CloudCraze. “We made major investments in innovative product development and reinforced our market position in 2016, which has led to the addition of several iconic enterprise companies to our client roster.”
