Kansas City, MO, March 08, 2018 -- DataSource, Inc. a leading provider of end-to-end integrated branded supply chain managed services, today announced the appointment of Neil Golden to the Company’s Board of Directors. He is well-known as a Fortune 500 consumer product and retail leader with a long history of Board engagement who has served over 15 years within national leadership and C-Level positions.
Neil is an active member of the faculty at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Integrated Marketing Communications. He also serves as a director on boards for other public and private companies. Prior to joining DataSource, he enjoyed a 24-year career with McDonald’s; including his most recent position as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for McDonald's USA. In his six years as CMO, he played an active role on the leadership team resulting in record visitation, sales, profits, market-share, and stock valuation.
Neil is particularly focused on advising DataSource’s Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) offering, which delivers costs savings and strategic business improvements such as speed-to-market, brand compliance, innovation, and visibility.
“We are thrilled to have Neil, a highly respected industry veteran within retail and restaurant categories, join the DataSource team as we continue into our next stage of growth," said Phil Schoonmaker, Chief Executive Officer of DataSource. "His global experience and expertise in strategic business management, marketing, and leadership will propel our current initiatives to continue adding capabilities for our customers, expanding our service offerings, enhancing our technology, and providing a superior client experience.”
“I am excited to join an organization that consistently produces incredible results for its clients,” said Golden. “I've seen first-hand how DataSource frees up resources for clients, which results in their ability to re-allocate budgets and capital toward other important areas of business. Based on my experience at McDonald's and other brands, I'm confident that working with DataSource will generate meaningful, measurable savings and enhance clients' ability to better serve its customers.”
Before his role at McDonald’s, Golden held positions at Burger King and RC Cola. He also competed on the Men’s International Professional Tennis Tour. He has served as a member of several boards including the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) -- including Chair of the ANA Government Relations Committee, the National Ad Council, and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund.
A native of Chicago and graduate of Northwestern University, Golden is a proud family man who is happily married with four spirited and active children.
