French consumer confidence is steady as ever at 96, but the statistics office has warned that most of the responses belong prior to the attack. Recent survey and talks among public suggests the horror, shock and terror are still there, plenty.

French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, said that the risks of terror attack will hang over France for years and French have to prepare for it, bearing in mind that probably there will be more attacks.

Being cautious is rewarding. Like KYC of banks, know the people around you, know your tenants, know who are you renting cars to, assessing who it might be asking for lifts......these will surely make France more secure.

But,

How cautious can you really be going to a rock concert or listening to Opera? Will you be constantly watching doors looking out for gunmen or will you be keeping an eye on the audience to see if anyone is bringing out guns.

You can do that but then forget the pleasure and relaxation.

To be very frank, while being cautious is rewarding, fearful is not.

It is really tough standing at this point, but all the French people need to do is bring out their courage like they always have in the past (remember the Nazi attack) and shrug off this cloud of fear.
