“Dragon Ball FighterZ” season 2 refers to the next wave of season pass DLC that the gamers are hoping to get. One of the most recent rumors suggests that the upcoming roster of playable characters will be bigger and might have up to 10 fighters.

A popular online leaker known by the name of Vergeben recently reiterated in a GameFAQs forum the rumors he heard about “Dragon Ball FighterZ” season 2. Vergeben shared the possibility of having up to 10 new playable characters — note that season 1 had eight.

Vergeben named four of the most likely playable characters included in the “Dragon Ball FighterZ” season 2. But out of all the characters mentioned, Vergeben seemed mostly confident that Jiren is on the list.

Goku’s Ultra Instinct form is also “apparently” included in the “Dragon Ball FighterZ” season 2 roster, according to the same source. The other two reported playable characters are believed to join the list following the developments in the “Dragon Ball” anime and movie franchises.

“Prior to the announcement of the ‘Super Dragon Ball Heroes’ anime I heard that SS4 Goku would be part of Season 2, and Gogeta would as well,” Vergeben added about “Dragon Ball FighterZ” season 2.

Gogeta would be an exciting addition both in the movie and in “Dragon Ball FighterZ” season 2. To the fans not familiar with the character, Gogeta is the result of Goku and Vegeta’s successful Fusion Dance. And Vergeben explained that since Gogeta is also a highly anticipated part of “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” in December, including Gogeta in the future video game roster makes “much more sense.”

On the other hand, it is important to note that there is no official word yet on “Dragon Ball FighterZ” season 2. But back in July, Eurogamer asked the game’s producer, Tomoko Hiroki, about the future of the title.

“At this point in time, we don't have anything detailed set in stone. But we want to continue supporting the game for a long period of time,” Hiroki said. Right now, fans can only hope that part of the developers’ continuing support for the game includes the “Dragon Ball FighterZ” season 2 DLC.

However, many fans believe that the market success of the game makes the release of “Dragon Ball FighterZ” season 2 more feasible. In this case, the other pertinent question is when the new DLC will possibly arrive. To some gamers, a 2018 launch for the first pack is unlikely to happen.
