DURHAM, N.C., March 15, 2018 -- Bell and Howell announced today its new click-and-collect model designed specifically for big box stores, warehouse clubs and other category specialists. BH QuickCart is a fully customizable, dynamic cart retrieval system that expedites and enhances the “buy online pick up in store” (BOPIS) experience for retailers and customers alike.

“Bell and Howell has quickly emerged as the leading provider of the world’s most comprehensive automated click-and-collect solutions that enable retailers to streamline and optimize the in-store order pickup process,” said Bell and Howell CEO Ramesh Ratan, Ph.D. “BH QuickCart allows us to extend the same convenience and efficiency to big box retailers and home improvement stores, where traditional solutions may not work due to the unique nature of their product mix, especially with very large and quite often very heavy products.”
BH QuickCart is a dynamic order retrieval solution that can be modified to meet any retailer’s unique needs while seamlessly integrating into the store’s existing physical infrastructure. Designed for indoor or outdoor use, the system has the ability to accommodate large shopping carts, flatbeds and even full pallets. BH QuickCart allows retailers to select from a variety of security options, including physical and virtual locks. It can also be refrigerated to accommodate perishable goods. When installed outside the store, it offers a 24-hour pickup option for added customer convenience.
BH QuickCart simplifies the pickup process for online, as well as will call orders. Once an order is ready for pickup, the associate checks the order into the BH QuickCart system, which then automatically sends the customer a text or email notifying them that their order is ready for pickup. At their convenience, the customer simply walks up to the BH QuickCart terminal, scans their barcode or types in the unique code and in seconds the unit identifies and releases the cart or flatbed containing their order.
BH QuickCart is the latest addition to Bell and Howell’s click-and-collect solutions, following the North American debut of the CleverFlex by Cleveron smart locker earlier this month. The company’s product portfolio also includes the PackRobot by Cleveron and CleverBox by Cleveron automated self-service lockers, providing retailers of all sizes with a robust click-and-collect solution to fit their specific needs.
Like all of Bell and Howell’s click-and-collect solutions, BH QuickCart is backed by Bell and Howell’s world-renowned service organization and our innovative remote monitoring and IoT-enabled services. These advanced services empower retailers with valuable insights on customer usage. BH QuickCart can also leverage the data to predict peak retrieval times, as well as weather and traffic patterns to ensure an optimal in-store checkout experience.
BH QuickCart, along with the company’s other retail click-and-collect solutions, will be on display in Bell and Howell’s booth at ShopTalk, March 18-21, 2018 in Las Vegas. Stop by booth 3017 to experience BH QuickCart, CleverBox by Cleveron and PackRobot, Walmart’s 16-foot-tall Pickup Tower.
