CHANTILLY, Va., Dec. 21, 2017 -- Four Points Technology, LLC (Four Points), a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), has been awarded a delivery order under the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V (NASA SEWP V), a Government-Wide Acquisition Contract to provide the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) with cloud computing resources. The Enterprise Cloud Capacity Contract award includes a base year and four option years with a total potential ceiling value of $495 million, and will support VA’s “Cloud first” initiative in delivering multiple cloud solutions across the VA enterprise. Specifically, the order will provide the full suite of cloud service offerings from both Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure required to allocate memory, processing, storage, and networking on demand to gain access to a suite of secure, scalable, and flexible information technology (IT) capabilities to enable creation, deletion, and flexible sizing of Virtual Data Centers and Virtual Machines.
Four Points supports the VA in multiple areas, including medical IT as well as traditional IT. For this program, Four Points is providing cloud solutions from both Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
Four Points has been delivering Federally-compliant Cloud to government customers for over five years, and the VA award reflects the combination of the company’s focus on both the VA and on cloud computing. Company President and CEO, David "Chief" Gilchrist, stated, "We are honored to have been selected by the VA to support their transition from traditional data centers to the Cloud. We’ve invested for years in building effective processes for delivering best-of-breed cloud services to the Federal Government in a manner that supports our customers’ unique needs for governance, security, and compliance."
“We’ve proudly supported the VA in its Cloud journey to date, helping the agency create the Vets.gov portal so that veterans can easily accomplish tasks ranging from applying for healthcare benefits to refilling a prescription,” said David Levy, Vice President of U.S. Government at AWS Public Sector. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Four Points to continue our work with the VA, providing them with needed cloud technology and services so that the agency can focus on what’s most important: the men and women who have served our country.”
Greg Myers, Vice President, Microsoft Federal stated, "We are proud of our ongoing strategic partnership with the VA, and are honored to support the important work they do to serve our nation's Veterans, leveraging the full suite of Microsoft IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud services.”
