French October Consumer Spending likely to be -0.1(mom) and 2.8(yoy)

France Consumer Spending for the month of September stood at 0.0 mom, below expectations of 0.2, also falling from previous months 0.1 readings. 

For the month of October the consensus expectations are that the Consumer spending month-on-month will decline to -0.1 and Consumer Spending year-on-year will slightly see a rise of 0.2% to 2.8 from the previous 2.6.

The consumer spending on goods might see a decline compared to the previous month, along with the energy component slipping on a month-on-month basis.

"We expect French goods consumption for October to show that consumption remains the driving force behind French growth with a 2.8% increase yoy as disposable income recovers", estimates Societe Generale.
