Not to dampen your enthusiasm, but it is better not to raise your expectations with regards to the release of GTA 6.
Although Rockstar Games itself has never made any official announcement about the highly anticipated sequel to the Grand Theft Auto V. This is not surprising as GTA 5 was released seven years ago back in September of 2013.
There are reports that gamers may have to wait for 2022 or even longer for GTA 6, which could mean that it won't be coming to the PS4 and Xbox One.
If it is any consolation, a new version of GTA 5, which promises to be an enhancement and expansion of the game, will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Also being worked on is a new version of the GTA Online, which is a standalone and will be launched in the latter half of 2022.
With all these in the works, it seems that Rockstar studios may have a lot on their hands. Although Rockstar may have eight studios, the GTA games are not the only one that Rockstar is working on; among these is the Red Dead Online. And, Rockstar is also not one to hurry work on its games.
Nevertheless, there's no shortage for the GTA fans as they have plenty to fill in the gap, as first, they can have the new version of GTA 5 then they can follow it up with the GTA Online while they wait for the GTA 6 to be released.
Perhaps gamers can’t help but wait in anticipation because, despite the absence of an official announcement from Rockstar, there have been several rumors about the game. Aside from the release date, there have been speculations if it will be featuring VR as well as its location. Some fans have also taken it upon themselves to draw up the map for the next GTA sequel. Thus, interest for the game is constantly being piqued.
And, if GTA 6 is to be expected on PS5 and Xbox Series X, its cost may be more than the current generation games.
So for gamers anticipating it, don’t be surprised that the GTA 6 may cost more than the Grand Theft Auto V.
