The latest report on the gameplay features of “GTA 6” comes from a well-known leaker who claims that the upcoming title will feature multiple playable characters. One of them is reportedly a female hacker, which also signals a modern-themed story.
‘GTA 6’ gameplay rumored to have multiple playable characters
Anyone who has followed the “Battlefield” rumors over the last few months should be familiar with the name Tom Henderson by now. He has been one of the main sources of information on the upcoming first-person shooter, and most of them have turned out to be accurate. His latest report, however, is focused on another franchise, and it happens to be one of the most speculated games – “GTA 6.”
In a new YouTube video, Henderson shared a set of information that includes some old and new details in the rumor mill about “GTA 6.” For one, having several playable characters has been one of the most anticipated features of the upcoming title as developer Rockstar Games made it happen in the existing “GTA V.”
There were no specific details provided about the “GTA 6” protagonists or exactly how many there will be, but Henderson said at least one of them is going to be a female character. The leaker describes her as the “bright one” on the roster, who is an expert in cyber hacking. This ability corresponds with another information Henderson mentioned.
The next title reportedly features a modern-day theme as Rockstar hopes this will give them more freedom in developing the future “GTA Online” DLCs. This is in contrast with previous rumors that “GTA 6” will be set in the 80s or the 90s.
However, Henderson agreed that the next main series installment would return to Vice City, but its map is not as big as previously claimed. Per the tipster’s description, the “GTA 6” map will be expanding post-launch with new locations to be added through DLCs. He compared it with how Epic Games tweaks the “Fortnite” map every season.
‘GTA 6’ release date might not be set anytime before 2024
For the release date, Henderson did not mention solid information, but he offered his “prediction” that “GTA 6” will be released sometime in 2024 to 2025. The leaker said Rockstar is serious about avoiding crunch and wants to advertise the game as a full-fledged new-generation title. Lastly, and not at all unbelievable, Henderson believes there is no rush in launching a new game when “GTA V” remains a very profitable IP.
