It has only been a couple of months since GoPro released its latest flagship action camera, the Hero 8 Black. That may be the reason why most tech fans are not expecting to find discounted offers for the device.
However, Amazon currently proves them wrong. With only a few days left for people’s Christmas shopping, it's the United States, and United Kingdom websites are offering the camera's highest discounted prices to date.
GoPro Hero 8 Black deals: Up to 16% discount available right now
Amazon UK offers the base Hero 8 Black package for only £319. That is equivalent to a 16 percent discount from the regular price of £379.99. Note, however, that this purchase only comes with the action camera.
Those who are willing to splurge a little more this holiday may opt for Amazon's Hero 8 Black Holiday Bundle. It is also currently offered with a slight price deduction. UK customers can purchase it now for only £419 instead of £429.99. The package comes with the camera, a 32GB SD card, and GoPro accessories such as a head strap, shorty grip, and an extra rechargeable battery.
Both these Hero 8 Black packages will entitle customers to a free shipping bonus. Meanwhile, those who will be paying with the Amazon Platinum MasterCard can get another £20 off their purchase.
Amazon US also offers a price cut from the Hero 8 Black base package. It regularly retails for $399.99, but with the promo, people can get it for $349 after a 13 percent discount.
However, it would not make much sense to buy the base package when the Hero 8 Black Holiday Bundle on Amazon US is also priced $349 but with the same bonus items included. This package usually costs $499.
GoPro Hero 8 Black holiday giveaways: How to join
GoPro is one with the season of giving. The company has started its 8 Days of Giveaways. On Thursday, the company is giving away eight tickets to the Mammoth Mountain. The place is a popular ski area located at a lava dome complex in Mammoth Lakes, California.
To join, participants will only have to comment with either the skier (⛷) or the snowboarder (????) emoji on GoPro's Instagram post announcing the giveaway. There were also days in the series of contests that the company has given away camera accessories the same as the one held on Wednesday. Those who want to join must follow GoPro’s Instagram page to learn when a new contest is up and what instructions they need to follow to qualify for a prize.
