Google Pixel 4 has many features that are similar to many other advanced units made by the leading mobile phone makers. While this fourth version of the Pixel phone will obviously be great, there were reports alleging that Google copied many of the nice features to come up with its version of the advanced smartphone and they can be considered “stolen ideas.”
3D face function, an imitation of iPhone’s face recognition?
As per the BGR, while Google will never admit that it got much inspiration from Apple’s iPhones, it is very clear that the Pixel phones were fitted with lots of functions and features that are similar to several iPhones. It was said that for the Google Pixel 4 series that was already confirmed to have the 3D face recognition, this was copied from the iPhone X that was launched in 2017 with this function.
The publication pointed out that the Google Pixel 4 and the XL version will have the Face ID-like functions which will replace the fingerprint identification sensors. BGR explained there is a review that noted the big similarity between Google’s Face ID and iPhone’s face recognition as they simply work in the same way.
As posted on Google’s blog, the face unlock is fast, easy, and more effectively. “Unlocking your phone should be easy, fast, and secure,” the description reads. “Your device should be able to recognize you - and only you - without any fuss. Face unlock may be a familiar feature for smartphones, but we’re engineering it differently.
Alleged better camera
Meanwhile, Tech Radar reported that there is a report that says the camera of Google Pixel 4 will be a lot better compared to Samsung’s S10 Plus unit. In a leaked review, it was said that hands-on experience using the Google Pixel 4 revealed that it features a better camera than Samsung’s.
The user was said to have discovered that the Google Pixel 4 XL offers true to life colors and better detail which the S10 Plus units can’t achieve. The photos were vibrant, and focusing on closer subjects is also not a hassle anymore because it focuses fast. Then again, it should be noted that we can only know if this is accurate once the unit is officially launched.
