The previous chapter ended by drawing all attention to Nekoma High’s mystery setter named Tamahiko Teshiro. With that, it is very likely that more background story about the first-year setter will be explored in “Haikyuu!!” chapter 317.
The score was tied at 24-24 before chapter 316 ended. But Nekoma High’s coach, Yasufumi Nekomata, thought it would be the right time to bring in Tamahiko despite the tight game that will be continued in “Haikyuu!!” chapter 317. It can be recalled that even the first year setter was not fully convinced he is ready to join his team on the court. But their coach decided to send him in and substitute Lev anyway.
This move stirred a lot of curiosity among fans. This is not the first time Tamahiko appeared in the manga. But “Haikyuu!!” chapter 317 is going to be the first real on-court action he will have. Chapter 316 made it obvious that the main protagonist Shoyo Hinata needs to work on enhancing his blocking skills to match Lev’s blocking and attack prowess. And this just makes the continuing rivalry even more worthy to look forward to in “Haikyuu!!” chapter 317.
Hinata’s current situation also presents the possibility that he will undergo some training focused on his blocking moves in “Haikyuu!!” chapter 317. And reports suggest that Karasuno’s middle blocker, Kei Tsukishima, could be the perfect teammate to help Hinata with this one.
