The latest Huawei P50 Pro leak has emerged online and it suggests the upcoming handset might sport quite a peculiar-looking design for its rear camera bump. Meanwhile, if the reported measurements are accurate it might also sport a slightly bigger screen.
Huawei P50 Pro specs, design: What to expect
Huawei is likely gearing up for its next premium smartphone announcement considering its calendar of events in previous years. Another indication of a looming announcement is the release of Huawei P50 Pro renders as reported by the long-time reliable smartphone news source, Steve Hemmerstoffer also known as OnLeaks.
Before getting into some of the technical specs mentioned in the report, the Huawei P50 Pro’s rumored design is worth discussing. If the leak is to be believed, it would appear that the upcoming smartphone might make headlines simply for its rear camera bump.

Aside from looking much bigger than the ones in Huawei P50 Pro’s predecessors, the upcoming handset’s camera bump also takes on an unusual form. The rear-facing sensors would be placed in an egg-shaped hump.
The Huawei P50 Pro renders do not show much of the lenses, but the camera bump also appears to have two large round bumps. This creates more questions such as how the sensors would be aligned considering that the previous Pro models of the Huawei P series have quad-camera modules.
OnLeaks does not have specific details about the Huawei P50 Pro cameras yet. But some things that could be expected, based on its predecessors, is Huawei’s continuing partnership with Leica. The company could also maintain a Time of Flight 3D camera, which was present on the P30 Pro and P40 Pro.
The same report indicates that the Huawei P50 Pro will sport a 6.6-inch display, which is slightly bigger than P40 Pro’s 6.58-inch OLED screen. Huawei is also anticipated to bring the selfie camera back to the center of the display. Another feature expected to return is the under-display fingerprint scanner.
Huawei P50 Pro release date could be happening soon
The leak did not mention anything about the Huawei P50 Pro release date. However, it is worth noting that the company has always announced a new P series between late March and early April.
