It looks like Jennifer Garner’s split from Ben Affleck is finally official.
According to People, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have finalized their divorce on Thursday after three years of being separated as the former couple met at Garner’s house with their lawyers and a private judge. The meeting took place a day after Garner reportedly asked the private judge to handle the case to speed up the whole process.
After 10 years of marriage and three children together, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck decided to go their separate ways in June 2015, but the two remained on good terms since the split, and they share joint custody of their children.
“Garner and Affleck have continued to spend time as a family and co-parent after they officially filed for divorce almost two years after announcing their separation in 2015. They recently took the kids to see Hello, Dolly! on Broadway in mid-July, starring family friend Victor Garber, and spent Easter together in Hawaii where Affleck was filming,” Ale Russian said in her report for People.
Garner was also seen driving Affleck to rehab in August as he continued to struggle from alcohol addiction, and he was spotted with Garner and their children on two occasions earlier this week.
“On Sunday, the two stepped out at church together with their children after Affleck completed 30 days in rehab. Three days later, Affleck and Garner stepped out with the kids again for a school event on Wednesday,” Russian noted.
The divorce may be finalized, but they will continue to see each other as they care for their kids.
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck first met on the set of “Pearl Harbor” back in 2001, and they also worked together on “Daredevil” in 2003. The two got together after Affleck’s split with Jennifer Lopez in 2004. The former couple filed for divorce in April 2017.
