Just months after Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin tied the knot, the couple is now hounded with rumors that they have had enough of the married life. However, this claim is debunked by the fact that Baldwin is currently the main support Bieber has while reportedly going through treatments for depression.
Bieber and Baldwin’s rumored divorce is the cover story of OK! magazine’s recent issue. The tabloid claims that the couple’s marriage ended after only 139 days and Bieber’s ex, Selena Gomez, is at the center of all the drama. Bieber and Baldwin reportedly got married last September in a New York City courthouse.
A source of OK! claimed that Bieber was secretly meeting with Gomez leading to Baldwin’s decision to allegedly opt for divorce. “Justin told [Gomez] that he’ll always love her… He also admitted it’s not working with Hailey and that the marriage was a big mistake,” the tipster added.
The report was immediately shut down by an official representative of Bieber through a statement provided to Gossip Cop. The pop singer’s insisted that Bieber and Baldwin are happy spending their days as a married couple and called OK!’s story “complete nonsense.”
Aside from the official statement from a spokesperson of Bieber, various reputable news outlets also recently reported that Baldwin is one of the most reliable people in his support system during this “difficult time” of battling depression. “He is in outpatient therapy and getting help every day," a source of E! News said. "This is his focus right now."
Another source for PEOPLE clarified that Bieber and Baldwin’s marriage did not trigger his depression. “It has nothing to do with Hailey — he is very happy being married to her. It’s just something else that he struggles with mentally. He has good help around him and is receiving some treatment. He seems confident he will feel better soon,” the same insider explained.
