It was largely assumed that Katie Holmes, Jamie Foxx stories about the couple getting married are nothing but empty tabloid gossip? However, is there actually some truth to these stories despite the many times they were supposedly debunked? Could it be that an engagement is actually happening despite the responses to the contrary?
For the short answer, no, this is absolutely not true. However, this did not stop Globe from running a Katie Holmes, Jamie Foxx report claiming this to be the case. The report even suggests that the engagement happened after the actor had gained the favor of his girlfriend’s parents. This would make for a truly heartwarming development if it wasn’t so fake.
“Jamie was nervous about meeting Katie’s parents, Martin and Kathleen, who’ve long been suspicious about his motives,” a supposed tipster reportedly told the publication. “But he’s assured them he has nothing but love for Katie and he’ll honor that once they’re man and wife.”
As expected, there were a lot of inaccuracies with regards to the report that the magazine published. To start with, there was a Katie Holmes, Jamie Foxx meetup involving the actress’ mother the month before. However, her father was not in attendance. This already makes the publication’s claims untrue.
From there, the story only devolves into nonsense with the mother of Tom Cruise’s ex-wife not actually giving her blessing for a Katie Holmes, Jamie Foxx wedding. At least, this has not been officially confirmed and the representatives of the actress, themselves have already classified this story as garbage.
Overall, this is yet another Katie Holmes, Jamie Foxx story that can be safely thrown in the trash for being completely bogus. There is absolutely no truth to it and there have been no signs of the celebrity couple even planning on getting married. Why on earth would they need to do that?
