‘Killing Eve’ Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers: Series Confirmed to Simultaneously Screen on BBC America and AMC

Killing Eve

“Killing Eve” season 2 is returning soon and it will air on two channels in order to bring the crime-thriller drama to a wider audience. It was confirmed to simultaneously screen on the sister network, AMC and BBC America.

Explaining their decision to release “Killing Eve” season 2 on two TV stations, Sarah Barnett, president of AMC’s entertainment networks said, "When we launched Killing Eve on BBC America last year, admittedly, we had high hopes for the drama but did not expect it to become this obsession.”

She added, “We believe we have just hit the tip of the iceberg in terms of potential viewers, and we want to expose this brilliant series to the largest audience we can. That is what's behind this move - to have a big, premium network like AMC introduce this fantastic storytelling to an even broader array of viewers and fans."

Plot

For the story, “Killing Eve” season 2 will not deviate from the first installment’s finale. In fact, only a few seconds had passed when the show resumes and reveal what will happen next. As Barnett shared, the second chapter “will pick up exactly 36 heart-thumping seconds after the events of the season finale.”

As per Deadline, here is the official synopsis of “Killing Eve” season 2: “Villanelle has disappeared and Eve is left reeling, having no idea if the woman she stabbed is dead or alive. With the two of them in deep trouble, Eve must locate Villanelle before someone else does however, she is not just the only person who is looking for the injured hired assassin.”

Cast

Needless to say, “Killing Eve” season 2 will still have Sandra Oh (Eve Polastri), Jodie Comer (Villanelle) and Fiona Shaw (Carolyn Martens) reprising their major roles. They will be joined by new regular cast members that include Nina Sosanya and Edward Bluemel. Other stars who will appear in recurring or guest roles are Shannon Tarbet, Julian Barratt, and Henry Lloyd Hughes.
