“Last Man Standing” Season 7 Episode 12 is titled “Unplug” and will have Mike (Tim Allen) deal with a problem that parents are all too familiar with: technology. Specifically, the youth’s fondness of being on their smartphones for long periods of time, CarterMatt reported.
It’s no secret by now that teens are burning long stretches of hours just by looking at memes and videos on their phones. But how many hours are they exactly wasting? According to the findings of Pew Research Center, teens are averaging nine hours a day online, which sums up to 270 hours in 30 days. That’s a whole lot of time to be wasting on one’s phone rather than being productive. Given the extent of this issue, it’s no wonder that Mike is trying to curb it in “Last Man Standing” Season 7 Episode 12.
Is the conservative father going to find a difficult time convincing the girls to lay off their phone for the weekend? It would appear so. But there’s also the chance that the girls are aware of their addictive habits. After all, the same study mentioned earlier found that 60 percent of those involved in the research said that they are cognizant of the problem. Whatever the case, technology will take center stage in “Last Man Standing” Season 7 Episode 12 and Mike will have to sit with the teens to talk about the problem.
Meanwhile, as an assignment, Jen (Krista Marie Yu) will be following Kyle (Christoph Sanders) around work. What’s likely going to happen here is that the assignment involves the foreign exchange student to immerse herself in the everyday American life. This is a great avenue to explore and will certainly produce some funny moments, not to mention bringing up some culture difference between the East and the West. So to wrap things up, “Last Man Standing” Season 7 Episode 12 will be dealing with culture and technology when the comedy series returns on Feb. 1.
