“Lucifer” Season 4 still doesn’t have an official release date yet and fans are getting more and more restless. With the show now being on Netflix and undergoing a lot of changes with how it’s being handled, a lot of surprises is in the works for the fourth installment.
Coming in from the blindside in “Lucifer” Season 4, however, is a character that is gearing up to create more tension for the fantasy police procedural. Called Father Kinley (Graham McTavish), this man of the cloth is expected to throw a monkey wrench in the damned existence of the Lord of Hell. Show star and Lucifer actor Tom Ellis pretty much confirmed this plot development after speaking with TVLine.
“The priest very much has got an axe to grind,” Ellis hinted. “He’s kind of obsessed with this prophecy having to do with the Devil walking the earth and finding his first love, and when that happens evil will be released upon the world. He truly, truly believes that.” The first love that Ellis mentions is none other than Eve herself, the first sinner. In “Lucifer” Season 4, Eve (Inbar Lavi) will reenter Lucifer’s life after spending eternity with Adam, RadioTimes reported.
She will be the main antagonist in the fourth installment as she seeks thrill and excitement in the mortal world. To achieve this, she’ll try to seduce the Lord of Hell himself and will do so during the devil’s lowest point. It’s kind of poetic that the showrunners are choosing this avenue in “Lucifer” Season 4, flipping the biblical narrative unto its head.
Of course, Chloe (Lauren German) will be caught in Eve’s plans and it’s unclear how this ancient being will deal with the detective. German said that Lavi’s performance in “Lucifer” Season 4 will provide a new kind of atmosphere for the series.
“Inbar plays Eve so uniquely, and well…. She just brings a whole new vibe to the show,” German said. “She has this ethereal and light and sensual energy.” As for the release date of “Lucifer” Season 4, show star Ella Lopez predicts that it will come out sometime between April and May.
