The arrival of Eve (Inbar Lavi) a.k.a. “The Original Sinner” has been established as one of the highlights in “Lucifer” season 4. But the latest teaser photo further proves that the show’s contemporary take on the Bible’s first woman on Earth will definitely heat things up for show's first season on Netflix.
In the Bible, Eve was the designated partner for Adam and it was a bond meant for life even after they were banished from the Garden of Eden. That will be partially true in “Lucifer” season 4 until Lavi’s take on Eve gets bored of her monotonous life with Adam. Her remedy to that is being reunited with the Devil a.k.a. Lucifer (Tom Ellis).
The latest teaser photo for “Lucifer” season 4 shared via TVLine shows Eve and Lucifer in a visibly intimate encounter. Whether Eve successfully seduces the Devil is still unknown. But Ellis hinted, “Lucifer is in a very vulnerable moment, emotionally — not that he would ever recognize that — when out of nowhere, Eve turns up.” That already sounds like a major advantage for Eve. Meanwhile, the vulnerability that Lucifer will manifest is likely caused by Chloe’s (Lauren German) reaction after seeing his real devil face for the first time.
Eve’s formal introduction in “Lucifer” season 4 is expected to happen in episode 4, which is fittingly titled “All About Eve.” Following the teaser about Lucifer's vulnerable state, this possibly means that Detective Decker will be needing a good amount of time to process the Lucifer's image that she can no longer unsee.
Meanwhile, Ellis also said that “Lucifer” season 4 will establish how the Devil is actually Eve’s first love and that feelings have not changed all this time, at least, in the show’s version of events. “She’s never forgotten about him. And she loves him,” Ellis added. Interestingly, Eve’s arrival will also stir some familiar feelings for the main protagonist reminding him of “the Devil he used to be.”
Filming of “Lucifer” season 4 has reportedly wrapped up earlier this month. The show’s debut on Netflix is confirmed for 2019, though, no release date has been announced yet.
