PEMBROKE PINES, Fla., Jan. 16, 2018 -- MDH Insight is on the fast track to becoming a leading go-to source for EMR data migration services within the healthcare industry.
MDH Insight was recently recognized as “Fastest Growing Company” at the South Atlantic Business Excellence Forum and Awards in Coral Gables. The company was launched in April 2015 by Matt Hoenig, former chief information officer of Boca Pharmacal, a generic pharmaceutical manufacturer.
MDH specializes in extracting and migrating medical data for physician practices from legacy Practice Management and EMR systems into more current web-based EMR solutions like Miami-based CareCloud, its largest customer. It also builds chargeback processing solutions for generic drug manufacturers in the pharmaceutical industry.
Hoenig credits the professional guidance, mentoring and leadership tools provided by business coaching firm ActionCOACH as helping to reposition MDH for success. Last December, by attending an ActionCOACH workshop, he discovered he wasn’t utilizing several key business management strategies.
“I realized from the activities we did during the workshop that I wasn’t doing those things I need to do to be a successful business owner,” Hoenig said. “My business was struggling.”
A year later, the startup is enjoying noticeable growth in sales revenue and net profit.
“MDH won the ‘Fastest Growing’ award from a field of eight companies based on its year-over-year growth in revenue, profit and workforce,” said Doug Barra of ActionCOACH Team Sage in Coral Gables, the event’s organizer.
At a recent ActionCOACH Growth Club quarterly meeting where 30-40 entrepreneurs gathered to review key financials and create their next quarterly plan with their business coaches, MDH also snagged the award for “Most Amazing Results” for the third quarter year-over-year, Hoenig said.
MDH’s exceptional fourth quarter results won the “Most Amazing Results” an unprecedented second time.
“It’s a big honor,” said Hoenig of the awards. “I’m an IT guy that decided to start a business and I don’t really have a business background, but I love business.”
For Juan Ortega, the ActionCOACH franchisee in Coral Springs who has been helping Hoenig for nearly a year to hone his business acumen, the awards aren’t surprising.
“It’s a testament that what we do works, but most importantly that you have to apply it. Matt did what he needed to do to get such great results as quickly as he did,” Ortega said. “His award is very well deserved.”
Looking ahead, Hoenig has crafted a five-year vision for MDH that includes adding 13 new EMR partners and additional staff to service their data migration needs with the ultimate goal of boosting revenue 20-fold by 2022.
“There’s a threat to having the majority of our revenue coming from only one customer, so we’re going to absolutely grow,” he affirmed.
