SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 08, 2018 -- MiOS, the leading smart home services platform, announces its partnership with DSP Group, a leading global provider of wireless chipset solutions for converged communications. As part of the partnership, MiOS now offers its partners support of the Ultra Low Energy (ULE) HAN FUN protocol in its smart home hubs to support the growing range of ULE-powered smart home devices.

ULE is ideally suited to support the new wave of consumer IoT devices as it offers longer range, interference-free RF bandwidth, enhanced security and natural support for two-way voice.
“We are excited by the opportunity to offer ULE to our partners,” said Lew Brown, CEO of MiOS. “ULE is ideal for smart home applications because of its low power consumption, long range, and its ability to transmit both voice and video. These are important benefits when smart home devices need to be battery powered.”
Analysts are forecasting huge growth in the IoT and smart home market, and MiOS now offers ULE to companies wanting to deploy smart home solutions to their customer base. MiOS will be offering its operator and service provider partners ULE as an option in its smart home solutions in the beginning of 2018.
“We are delighted that MiOS has recognized the merits of ULE and has chosen to add the ULE standard to its new smart home hubs,” said Jan Abelev, CVP ULE product management at DSP Group. “We believe ULE will play an important role in connecting IoT devices to the cloud and together with MiOS we are enabling consumer applications to embrace and create innovative use cases utilizing the rich capabilities offered by ULE in smart homes.”
DSP Group ULE solutions will be demonstrated at CES 2018 in DSPG’s private suites at the Marriott Courtyard Convention Center as well as the ULE Alliance exhibit in the Smart Home Zone at Tech Center West (Sands/Venetian Expo Center)
