Numerous leaks and rumors suggest that the Microsoft Surface Book 3 release date is imminent. What’s even more exciting is that the leaks also revealed a few of the specs and features of the upcoming device.
Surface Book 3 price
Gadget shoppers can now start preparing the budget if they plan to get their hands on Microsoft’s latest premium 2-in-1 detachables. Listings for various Microsoft products with aliases Surface Project T, Surface Project U, and Surface Project V were spotted by tech blogger Dan S. Charlton suggesting the price ranges for Surface Book 3 variants, according to Tech Radar.
The aliases actually refer to Microsoft's Surface Book 3 13.5-inch, Surface Book 3 15-inch, and Surface Go 2 respectively, according to Charlton.
The Surface Book 3 13.5-inch variant (Surface Project T) has a price range of €1,618 – €2,617 or around $1,760 to $2,850. Meanwhile, the 15-inch version will be offered between €2,234 and €3,442 or between $2,440 and $3,760.
Surface Book 3 specs
Previously, there were reports that the Microsoft Surface Book 3 will feature Intel’s Ice Lake processors. However, recent listings by WinFuture reveal that the gadget will be powered by Comet Lake chips in the form of the Intel Core i5-10210U and i7-10510U, according to Notebookcheck.
Variants of the 13.5-inch model will either feature the Intel Core i5-10210U and i7-10510U. Storage options include 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB. There are also three RAM options which include 8 GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB.
Meanwhile, the 15-inch model of the Microsoft Surface Book 3 will only feature the Intel Core i7-10510U as its processor. There are three storage options which include 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB. The gadget is available with either a 16 GB or 32 GB of RAM.
Another interesting feature is the graphics card. Instead of the usual GeForce, the Surface Book 3 will have a Quadro RTX, according to SlashGear. This would make the device a perfect tool for multimedia content creation aside from being a capable gaming laptop.
Microsoft has not yet officially announced a Surface Book 3 release date. But considering the various listings, tech watchers believe that the launch date for the device will soon be announced.
